UGFD is looking for intelligent men and women, in good health, physical condition and good moral character to join our TEAM. We are committed to developing top quality Firefighters and Support Services members, all it takes is a desire to learn, hard work and be a team player. We accept applications for Volunteer Firefighters and Support Services members through out the year.
A written test is scheduled as needed, generally once a year. All candidates scoring a minimum of 70% will be allowed to participate in the physical agility test. Those candidates that successfully complete the physical agility test will be invited to an oral interview.
Volunteers who have moved to the area and are already IFSAC (International Fire Service Accreditation Congress) or equivalent certified can make application anytime as a lateral entry volunteer.
